One part of the facility (V60)

This fish facility is a combination of customized racks of type „V30“ and „V60“ and is set up to raise and keep up to 35.000 Zebrafish (Danio rerio) – with an entire water content of up to 18,400 liters.
Six rooms belong to it: 5 fish rooms and one installations room for raw water purification / water treatment systems.
Completion was in June 2007.

Controlling of the whole facility takes place in high-technology components of measurement and control technology which were steered by individual programmed software on a program-
mable logic controller (PLC).

Over a touch panel at the switchboard the facility can be operated and guarded.

Touch panel - facility monitor

It's possible to monitor all important processes, information and data on this touch panel (e.g. filling level of raw water tanks, pump pressures, status of water treatment…).

Should it be necessary it is possible to control the whole facility components by hand and all of the important data could be read out direct on the appropriate measurement devices. The whole facility is double backed to ensure that in cases of malfunction no brake down occurs.
